No, I will not cry because Spring Break is over. It was a pretty good one, filled with family, friends and self-care. I am so lucky to have had the past week off, and endeavored to do as much as I could in that time. I think my mission was accomplished!

Beginning the break with a little bit of time in the classroom was the way to go. With a little help from Ryan, and an hour purging files, I have a lot to look forward to tomorrow. And I really have missed my students. I truly and looking forward to seeing all of them in the morning!

Taking the time to walk and hike, partaking of coffee and milkshakes, I was lucky to see so many friends and spend time with my family. And my cats! But wait, there’s more!

Finalizing The Capybara Flag Revolt was momentous, and my copies should arrive next week. Even better? Someday has been reformatted, and is now published using IngramSpark. I am looking forward to walking into The Quirky Crow with not one, but two books I can be proud of! Luckily, Someday only took hours, not the days Capybara did. Maybe Resolutions is next… Only time will tell!

Keeping busy was important, because as much as I needed to relax, sitting on my couch for a week just wasn’t going to do it for me. Corn holing, walking, hiking, Top Golfing, crafting and baking were all I needed to keep busy. Toss in time with Bob, some Netflix and reading, and my break was complete.

As you read this, you may notice the website has changed. That was a biggie on my list, and while I don’t think I have mastered this format yet, I have made improvements. Thank goodness for video tutorials, though they didn’t help much with Someday’s page numbers. 🙄 It’s always something, I guess. I still have a lot to learn, but that’s OK. I like trying, and mastering, new things! I will figure this blog thing out better, too. This is draft two, because I lost the first one when I tried to add a photo. Now I know to tap “Save draft” after every paragraph; no auto saving here, sadly.

So where was I? I lost myself in my own blog. The cats are distracting, as is the absolutely pouring rain outside my window. I know draft one mentioned Sandi, and the insights she offered for book SIX! If you read my blog regularly, you know where we are going next! I am looking forward to the research this summer!

I think that is all for now; I am pretty sure draft 1 was better, but it’s time to put some enchiladas together for dinner. The sauce has been simmering all day, and I can’t wait any longer!

Until next time… ❤️
