Happy New Year! 2026 is going to be GREAT! I can feel it.

I am writing from different places, physically and digitally! We are at the cabin for a few days, ringing in the new year. This is also my first blog using WordPress. In my efforts to save close to $500, I searched for something new. This is where I landed, and hope it all works out. I have a two-year commitment, so my fingers are crossed!

There was a lot involved in the switch, and it took days. Not full days, of course. This week I enjoyed a fabulous fondue evening with my daughter, Alyssa. I worked at Bob’s office, helping his office manager get files ready for the new year. And then there was the day of travel followed by an evening with our Pioneer neighbors. I put in a few hours this afternoon, and I think I am set.

I wanted to save all of my blogs, because I am proud of that writing and didn’t want to lose them. So that took quite a bit of time. Setting up a new website took a looong while, and I don’t think I am done. It’s like moving into a new place. Get what you need set up, like the bed and kitchen, then take your time with the rest of the furnishings and decorations. I am not sure I like this color scheme, but the pink one was just too… pink. Which is saying a lot, for me anyway!

So I saved years of blogs, exported, then imported, my email list from the previous site, and tried to learn how to blog here. WordPress’s AI assistant was quite helpful, so that’s a win right there! There’s a lot to explore, and much to learn. It’s a good thing I love a challenge, and the feeling of mastering something new. Because it was more than a bit frustrating. I think I have the hang of it now. I hope.

So while this will look different than my previous posts, and may change in the future as I explore the options, my address is the same, and content will be added as I make the time. With report cards on my To Do list, I will have to pace myself!

Thanks for your patience, and again, I wish you all a wonderful 2026!

We made it to midnight, and watched the ball drop!

Until next time…
